What is CNC Turning?

CNC turning is a subtractive machining process that uses a cutting tool to remove material for creating cylindrical parts with different sizes. bars of material are held in a chuck and rotated while a tool is fed to the piece to remove material to create the desired shape. A turret with tooling attached is programmed to move to the bar of raw material and remove material to create the programmed result.

Kaierwo have high-precision CNC Turning machine and excellent engineers with 14 years of experience CNC turning for parts manufacturing, we are proud of the high quality of the CNC turning parts we produce. Experienced quality personnel ensures that customer requirements are met or exceeded at all stages of production in custom industrial processing.

Advantages of CNC Turning

Our CNC turning section is equipped with the latest machines, tooling, and CAD-CAM. This allows us to offer an efficient, cost effective and flexible service.  CNC turning offers numerous advantages over traditional manual fabrication methods, including:

1. Quick Turnaround

CNC turning equipment is pre-programmed and allows the equipment to move more quickly than manual machining.

2. Superior precision

Pre-programmed specifications ensure greater precision and reliability.

Variable production sizes.  Faster CNC turning allows for mass production with high repeatability. We have been equipped with a high-precision tester, which can also ensure the accuracy of the standard of the parts.

3. Material versatility

CNC turning can be used on a broad range of materials.

4. Enhanced worker safety

CNC turning requires less direct human interaction, thereby reducing risk of injury to workers.

5. Cost-effectiveness

Enhanced speed and reduced labor costs can make CNC turning very affordable in comparison with other manufacturing methods.

We supply precision CNC turning services, ability to meet precision tolerances as light as ±0.005mm (±0.0002 inch)

What Kind Of Materials Can Be CNC Turned?

While any strong and stable material can be turned, we use hard plastics and metals. Please note that some tool steels may be too hard to cut on a lathe or milling machine, or they will require special handling and longer production times. Soft elastomers or some soft plastics also cannot be produced using CNC turning as they cannot be held in a fixed position or will deform under the pressure of the cutting tool!

Design Guidelines for CNC Turning

Surface Finish Options for Turned Parts

Surface Finish Options for Turned Parts

Parts that are turned typically have a very smooth surface finish.  The as-machined surface finish of the cylindrical areas will typically be much smoother using the lathe than the mill, so consider this when selecting the machining method for those parts that qualify for either method.  Areas cut with live tooling, such as flats and slots, may have visible tools marks.

Not only can provide high-quality parts machining, but Kaierwo can also finish excellent surface finish, including: as machined, smooth, painting, anodize, bead blasting, oxidation, polishing, powder coating, plating, knurling , brushing, passivation etc.
